We’re coloring book authors and artists. We create coloring books, mostly coloring books for adults. (Some of us resist the expression “grown ups,” and we refuse to grow up.)
This new website is about our coloring books — how we create them, how we color them, and how our friends and fans can get the most from our books.
We also share personal insights, free coloring book page downloads, and news about our current projects (with the occasional sneak peek at our newest coloring pages).
Our authors (so far)
Aisling D’Art – Best known for her quirky website (Aisling.net) filled with how-to tips for mixed media artists and her creative artists’ journals, Aisling has taught at events including Art & Soul, Art Unraveled, Artfest, Celebrate Art, and DragonCon.
So far, she has published over a dozen coloring books, including her popular “Bold and Easy Coloring Pages” series. (New books in that series include designs by other Coloring Group authors.)
Kara Watson – Kara is a student and the “mom” to two sweet kitties. Kara has always been interested in art, especially paper arts. She joined the Coloring Group with her first project, Bold and Easy Coloring Pages 5, co-authored with Aisling D’Art.
Joan Verch-Rhys – A Harvard-educated art historian, Joan is producing coloring books for adults, inspired by classical art from the 19th century and earlier. Her first coloring books are based on Aubrey Beardsley’s illustrations. Joan is also working on a series of coloring books with artwork on black backgrounds.
Nora Cronin – A Celtic enthusiast with roots in Kilmallock, Ireland, Nora is working on coloring books with Irish and Celtic themes. (Her first books are being published in January 2017.)
Chris Brown – Christian Brown, a Virginia minister, joins us to create coloring books with religious themes. Look for his books in the near future.
